In order to inform the users on ways to protect themselves from communication service accidents, Korea Communications Commission (KCC, chairman See Joong Choi) announced that they have created comic content on prevention methods of major abuses such as illegal use of other’s names and money transfer and the content will be available on KCC’s homepage from the 29th and through related institutions. Communications service has grown to become a widely-used service by the whole nation, but it has also caused significant concerns and damages to the users. In particular, it has become common for the users to believe that the service content is too complex and specialized to understand and hence, difficult to gain any aid on injuries, and what’s more, sometimes they remain unaware of the violation itself. However, contrary to this understanding, many accidents can be prevented if the user pays only a little more attention and caution, and consequently, this has created the need to provide such information to the users. As a result, KCC announced that they have selected the major communication service abuses that the users can face and have created the ’easy-to-understand prevention methods of communication service accidents’ content in a comic format so that users may easily understand the basic information regarding those incidents. Illustrating cases of abuse and prevention method of 7 issues The information content covers the 7 major types of violation regarding communication service that have been afflicting the users recently, and the descrption, prevention method and relief method of each type have been illustrated in a comic format. KCC has particularly focused on the basic knowledge and information that the users must be aware of to prevent damage from illegal use of other’s names and money transfer. |
